National Law University Delhi celebrated Constitution Day (Samvidhan Diwas) on 26 November 2025 to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India and to reaffirm its commitment to constitutional values, democratic citizenship, and the rule of law. The celebration began with a collective reading of the Preamble, led by the faculty members, students, administrative staff, and library professionals of the University. The programme emphasized the transformative role of the Constitution in empowering citizens and promoting social, educational, and economic justice, resonating with Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s vision of India.
To mark the occasion, the Justice T.P.S. Chawla Library, NLUD organized a thematic Exhibition on Constitutional Heritage, featuring:
- Rare and contemporary books on Constitutional Law, Constituent Assembly Debates, Indian judicial reforms, and biography collections of great constitution-makers.
- Newspaper clippings, archival materials, landmark judgments, and curated resources showcasing India’s constitutional evolution.
- Panels depicting constitutional amendments, directive principles, fundamental rights, and major judicial interpretations contributed by students.
The exhibition served as a dynamic learning platform for students, promoting constitutional literacy and awareness. Many students and faculty members contributed insights to the display, making it a collaborative academic effort. A special attraction included curated clippings on recent judicial and legislative developments, symbolizing the dynamic nature of the Indian Constitution.
The programme concluded with remarks acknowledging the significance of constitutional culture in legal education, reaffirming the University’s mission to nurture socially responsible, ethically grounded, and constitutionally aware legal professionals.
