NLUD Team wins 32nd MC Chagla Memorial National Moot Court Competition

National Law University Delhi has achieved a historic milestone by winning the 32nd MC Chagla Memorial National Moot Court Competition held at Government Law College, Mumbai. This marks the first time in the university’s history that NLU Delhi has won this prestigious competition.

The winning team comprised Tanishq Desai (Il year), Divas Upadhyay (Il year), and Ranver Nalavade (Il year). Tanishq Desai was also adjudged the Best Speaker of the Competition. The team is grateful to their junior researchers, Sanidhya Kapoor (I year) and Karan Laddha (I year) for their help in preparing for the competition.

The MC Chagla Memorial Moot Court Competition is one of the oldest and most prestigious constitutional law moot court competitions in India. The finals were judged by an esteemed panel comprising Hon’ble Justice Abhay Ahuja, Hon’ble Justice Kamal Khata, and Hon’ble Justice Farhan Dubash, all sitting judges of the Bombay High Court.

This victory is particularly significant as NLU Delhi’s last notable achievement at this competition was winning the Best Memorial award in 2012, making this triumph even more meaningful after more than a decade. The achievement is a testament to the dedication of the students and the culture of academic and co-curricular excellence fostered at the university.
