The S.K. Malik Chair on Access to Justice, in collaboration with the NLUD Pro Bono Club, successfully organized a Legal Awareness Session on “Law as a Career Option” for the students of G.D. Goenka School on 22nd August 2025. This initiative was part of the ongoing efforts under the Community Outreach Program to spread legal awareness and inspire young minds to explore the noble profession of law.
The session aimed to acquaint students with the scope of legal education, various career opportunities in law, and the significance of legal knowledge in promoting justice and social change. Students were introduced to diverse legal domains, and emerging areas of law.
A special highlight of the program was the participation of student volunteers from NLUD, who shared their personal experiences about preparing for law entrance exams and pursuing legal education. Their insights offered a realistic perspective on the challenges and opportunities in the legal profession. This interaction not only motivated the school students but also reinforced in the volunteers a sense of social justice and the importance of giving back to society through community engagement.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Bharti Yadav, Associate Professor of Law, who guided the discussions and ensured an engaging interaction between the student volunteers and students.
The session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment, where students expressed curiosity about law school life, career pathways, and the role of lawyers in shaping society.
This program reflects NLUD’s commitment to community engagement and fostering a culture of legal literacy among young learners, in line with its vision of promoting access to justice for all.
