Ms. Nyamat Sekhon
Academic Fellow
Nyamat Sekhon is a legal professional, currently working as an academic fellow under the S.K. Malik Chair on Access to Justice at National Law University Delhi. She is also pursuing Ph.D from Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law in the field of Environmental Law. She pursued LL.M from Central University of Punjab and B.A. LL.B (Hons.) from Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law. She has worked as a Research Assistant for the Centre for Justice, Law and Society at Jindal Global Law School and as an Assistant Professor at University Institute of Legal Studies, Chandigarh University.
Ms. Sekhon has authored research papers, book chapters, articles, and blogs both nationally and internationally on various enviro-legal and socio-political paradigms. She has been the recipient of the Millennium Fellowship 2021 aimed at forwarding the SDGs at the grassroot level. She has also worked extensively with community outreach programmes by volunteering for charitable organisations aiming to spread legal literacy and awareness. Her experience also includes being a resource person for police training in legal frameworks thereby indicating her commitment to positively impact the society.
