      Ms. Diya Rajput

      Academic Fellow

      Diya Rajput is an Academic Fellow in Legal Research at the Office of the Dean, Research Planning and Strategic Development (RP&SD) at National Law University Delhi. She graduated in 2025 with an LL.M. in International Law from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva, Switzerland, with summa cum laude distinction.

      Her work is primarily in the field of public international law. In Geneva, she served as Research Assistant to Ambassador Dr. Vilawan Mangklatanakul at the 76th International Law Commission (ILC) and received the Bimal N. Patel Scholarship for the Promotion of International Law Studies and Research. She has also worked as a Researcher at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and on an ERC project on Three Generations of Digital Human Rights. Her LL.M. thesis examined treaty interpretation during the provisional measures stage at the International Court of Justice (ICJ). Diya completed her LL.B. in 2024 at Jindal Global Law School, Sonipat, India. She was the 2021 batch topper of St. Andrew’s College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Mumbai, India during her B.A. in English Literature.

      Diya reads slowly, writes even more slowly, and takes pleasure in engaging seriously with methodology and pedagogy. She looks forward to a slow, deliberate, and meaningful career in academia and diplomacy.
