National Law University Delhi, in coordination with the Tihar Jail Authority, organised an educational visit for students to the Tihar Jail Complex on 15 April, 2026.
The visit, conducted as part of the legal aid programme, provided students with insights into prison systems and reforms. Students engaged in discussions with prison authorities on legal aid, safety and living conditions of inmates, gaining a deeper understanding of the functioning of correctional institutions. The visit offered a firsthand glimpse into the realities of the criminal justice system, challenging perspectives and deepening understanding of aggravating & mitigating circumstances of both undertrial and convicted prisoners.
