Strengthening Academic Collaboration between NLU Delhi and Heidelberg University, Germany
The National Law University Delhi had the privilege of hosting Prof. (Dr.) Marc-Philippe Weller, Professor of Private Law, Commercial Law, International Private Law and Comparative Law, Heidelberg University, Germany, on 25 September 2026.
Prof. Weller serves as the Director of the Institute for Comparative Law, Conflict of Laws and International Business Law and is currently the Vice-President for International Affairs and Diversity at the University.
The academic engagement featured an insightful lecture by Prof. Weller on:
“Climate Protection via Climate Litigation? International, European and Comparative Legal Perspectives.”
The programme further had short presentations by Ph.D. scholars Victor Habrich, Marianna Daenner and Panna Darazs, followed by an engaging discussion with the faculty members and Ph.D. scholars of NLU Delhi.
The visit provided a valuable platform for scholarly dialogue and international academic engagement, particularly in the fields of comparative law, private law, commercial law and emerging areas of legal research.
NLU Delhi looks forward to further strengthening its academic and research engagement with Heidelberg University and the Institute for Comparative Law, Conflict of Laws and International Business Law, and to fostering meaningful opportunities for continued international collaboration.
