National Law University Delhi, in collaboration with the National Commission for Women, organised a Regional Law Review Consultation for the North and West Regions on the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 on 30 April 2026 at its campus in New Delhi.
The consultation was designed to enable focused, structured and substantive deliberations among domain experts, practitioners and stakeholders. The discussions engaged with key themes including the limitations of the existing PoSH framework, avenues for legislative reform, skill development, institutional capacity building, the interface of technology with workplace harassment, and the evolving coverage of the law in contexts such as gig work, the legal profession and political institutions.
The deliberations reflected a shared commitment towards strengthening the effectiveness, inclusivity and responsiveness of the PoSH regime. Building on these discussions, a comprehensive report will be submitted to the National Commission for Women, setting out provision-specific recommendations, supported by detailed justifications, on areas where amendments may be warranted.
The University expresses its sincere appreciation to the National Commission for Women for entrusting National Law University Delhi with this opportunity. It also places on record its gratitude to all participants for their valuable contributions in advancing this important dialogue.
