Prof. G.S. Bajpai delivered inaugural address in Training Program on “The New Criminal Justice System” for IAS/DANICS Officers organized by Directorate of Training (Union Territories Civil Services), Delhi on 12/06/2024.
The Directorate of Training (Union Territories Civil Services), Govt. of NCT of Delhi invited Prof. G.S. Bajpai, Vice-Chancellor NLU Delhi to deliver the inaugural address in the Training Programme on “The New Criminal Justice System” for IAS/DANICS Officers of Revenue and Home Department of GNCT of Delhi on 12/06/2024. The address was well received, and the central idea of the address was to introduce the participants to three New Criminal Laws Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS), Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (BNS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023 (BSA), which will come into force on 1st July 2024.
Other delegates in the inaugural session included Sh. Bharat Parashar, Principal Secretary (Law, Justice and Legislative Affairs), Govt. of NCT of Delhi, Sh. C.R. Garg, Director (Training) (UTCS) and Sh. K. Mahesh, Special Director (Training) (UTCS).
The respective sessions on BNSS 2023, BSA 2023 and BNS 2023 were taken by Dr. Neeraj Tiwari, Assistant Professor, NLU Delhi; Dr. Bharti Yadav, Assistant Professor, NLU Delhi and Sh. Ankit Kaushik, Assistant Professor, NLU Delhi.
