National Law University Delhi has once again cemented its status as one of India’s premier legal institutions, securing the #2 position in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025 under the Law category — for the eighth year in a row. The rankings released by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, reflect the university’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, research innovation, and inclusive growth. At the official ceremony, Prof. (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai, Vice-Chancellor of NLU Delhi, received the trophy and certificate from Hon’ble Minister of Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Bajpai said:
“The University has undertaken drastic academic and research reforms — including innovations in course structure, pedagogy, and a sharper focus on excellence. This recognition belongs to our faculty, students, and staff, whose dedication makes NLU Delhi a leader in legal education.”
NLU Delhi achieved an impressive overall score of 80, by achieving the following scores in various parameters:
· Teaching, Learning and Resources (TLR) – 88.70
· Research and Professional Practice (RP) – 42.85
· Graduation Outcome (GO) -86.50
· Outreach and Inclusivity (O&I) – 72.57
· Perception (PR)- 92.05
