      MoU Signed between NLU Delhi and the University of Galway, Ireland (19th May, 2026)

      National Law University Delhi (NLU Delhi) and the University of Galway, Ireland, are delighted to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen inter-institutional academic and research collaboration.

       

      Under the MoU, both institutions will collaborate to organize workshops, seminars, webinars, conferences, training programmes, competitions, credit courses, publications, student internships, and mentorship initiatives across both online and offline platforms. The agreement also aims to foster joint academic research, student and faculty exchange programmes, and other collaborative initiatives.

       

      The MoU was signed by Professor (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai, Vice Chancellor, NLU Delhi, and Mr. Alex Metcalfe, Vice President International, University of Galway. The signing took place in the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Risham Garg, Registrar, NLU Delhi; Dr. Daniel Mathew, Dean of International Relations, NLU Delhi; Ms. Anju Singh, Senior Regional Manager, South Asia, University of Galway; and Ms. Anam Hamid, Principal Advisor, Engagement & Partnerships, Education in Ireland.

       

      On the occasion, Professor (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai, Vice Chancellor, NLU Delhi, said:

      “I am glad that the two institutions have now formalised their collaboration with the signing of this MoU. This will enable joint academic research, foster the exchange of ideas, and encourage student and faculty mobility programmes. Through this partnership, NLU Delhi furthers its commitment to deepening international ties and exploring global academic prospects.”

       

      Mr. Alex Metcalfe, Vice President International, University of Galway, welcoming the collaboration, added:

      “Partnering with a premier institution like NLU Delhi marks a significant milestone in our commitment to global academic excellence. This MoU opens invaluable opportunities for cross-cultural learning, impactful joint research, and vibrant student exchange, enriching the academic landscapes of both our institutions.”
