MHRD GIAN course on “Empirical Methods in Legal Research”,  December 4-8, 2017; NLUD

The Centre for Criminology & Victimology (CCV), National Law University Delhi in association with Asian Law Institute (ASLI) organized MHRD GIAN Course on “Empirical Methods in Legal Research” under the GIAN scheme of the MHRD, from 4th to 8th December, 2017. The course was conducted by Professor William H.J. Hubbard, Professor of Law and Ronald H. Coase Teaching Scholar Affiliation: The University of Chicago Law School. The course was co-taught by the Director of the course Prof. (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai, Registrar National Law University Delhi. This course was of one credit and had 10 hours lectures and 5 hours discussion sessions. The course received an overwhelming response and was attended by 55 participants, including both students and faculty members from National Law University Delhi, and external participants which consisted of Law Professors, Research scholars and students of Law from various prominent law institutions across India.

The course was followed by one hour written examination for the purpose of credit transfer.

The course was coordinated by Mr. Sidharth Dahiya, Assistant Registrar, NLU Delhi and Ms. Pratibha Tandon, Research Associate, NLU Delhi.
