Prof. G. S. Bajpai was invited as the Chief Guest at the Memorial Seminar-cum-Lecture organized by Dr. Harisingh Gour University, Sagar, on October 24, 2025, in commemoration of Dr. Harekrushna Mahtab – A Visionary Statesman and Nationalist Thinker.
Delivering a special lecture on the theme ‘Student-First Universities: Transforming Pedagogy and Governance for Meaningful Participation’, Prof. Bajpai emphasized the importance of ensuring active and meaningful student participation in the higher education system—both in academic learning and institutional governance. He highlighted that such engagement fosters the holistic development of students, enabling them to become socially responsible citizens who can contribute purposefully to societal progress.
The event was presided over by Prof. Yashwant Singh Thakur, Vice-Chancellor of Dr. Harisingh Gour University, Sagar, and was attended by several legal luminaries, faculty members, and students.
On this occasion NLU Delhi and Dr. Harisingh Gour University signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for academic collaboration encompassing student exchange, faculty exchange, organising joint training programmes, joint capacity building programmes and for joint research and publications. The MoU was signed by Prof. G.S. Bajpai, Vice-Chancellor, NLU Delhi and Prof. Yashwant Singh Thakur, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Harisingh Gour University, Sagar.
