Legal Awareness Camp on “Protection of Children from Sexual Offence”
The National Law University Delhi ProBono club conducted a legal awareness session on “Protection of Children from Sexual Offences” in the Government Co-edu Sr. Sec. School, Village Kanganheri, New Delhi. More than 150 school students attended it with their teachers and school staff. NLUD Students with the faculty coordinator, Dr. Bharti Yadav and Ad. Prabha Bhardwaj spread awareness about the below stated:
What are child sexual abuses
What is bodily autonomy, good touch and bad touch
Role of Law, POCSO and safeguards under it
Level of awareness of child sexual abuse and POCSO, possible measures
Role of schools and teachers regarding prevention of sexual offences against children in school
Registering complaint under Pocso, procedure, e-complaint
The session was coordinated by Dr. Bharti Yadav, faculty of law and faculty coordinator, NLUD ProBono Club. Legal Literacy material on the protection of children from sexual offences was also shared with the school students and their teachers.
