Lord Meghnad Desai delivered a Guest Lecture on ‘The Poverty of Political Economy’ at NLU Delhi. The two hour long interactive session touched upon various topics including the state of Indian agriculture, farmers’ rights movement, theory of socialism and the relevance of the Indian Left. He also offered his critique of major theories of Economics while discussing India’s economic growth and future challenges.The lecture was well-attended by B.A.LL.B (Hons.) and LL.M. students along with NLU Delhi faculty members.
