The Chair on Consumer Law, National Law University Delhi, in collaboration with the Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Government of India, proudly inaugurated a Capacity Building Programme for Members of Consumer Commissions today, on 12th December 2024. Ms. Nidhi Khare, Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs, GOI was the chief guest in the programme. She outlined the initiatives taken by the government in advancing consumer protection. This three-day programme (12th–14th December 2024) brings together over 40 members of Consumer Commissions of three States (Punjab Haryana and Delhi) to deepen their understanding of evolving legal frameworks, emerging consumer challenges, and best practices in consumer protection. With sessions led by eminent experts, interactive discussions, and real-world case studies, this initiative is designed to empower participants in delivering fair and efficient justice, contributing to a stronger consumer protection ecosystem.
