We are pleased to announce the setting up of the Cambridge – NLU Delhi Centre for Research in Global Policing at the National Law University Delhi.
The Centre will serve as a hub for pracademic engagement – integrating rigorous academic research with real-world policing practice – through evidence-based, data-driven, and interdisciplinary approaches.
The Centre aims to advance comparative and action-oriented policing research, deliver evidence-based training and capacity-building, address emerging challenges in policing, including technology and public safety and promote international collaboration across academia, policing, and policy.
To give effect to the establishment, NLU Delhi and the Cambridge Centre for Evidence-Based Policing (CCEBP) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 24th March 2026.
This collaboration is a result of detailed discussions led by Prof. (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai, Prof. Lawrence Sherman and Dr. Vineet Kapoor aimed at advancing research-driven police reforms and strengthening global knowledge exchange in policing studies.
This partnership brings together NLU Delhi’s leadership in legal and policy research with CCEBP’s global expertise in evidence-based policing, creating a platform that is both locally grounded and globally connected.
We look forward to building a dynamic and evolving Centre that contributes meaningfully to policing reform, research, and practice in India and beyond.
