National Law University Delhi (NLU Delhi), established in the year 2008 with the initiative of the High Court of Delhi and the Government of NCT of Delhi, is a premier law university in the country. Dynamic in vision and robust in commitment, the University has, in a very short span of time, shown exemplary promise to become a world-class institution.
NLU Delhi has been consecutively ranked number two in the NIRF rankings of Law Universities in the country for the last eight years. The University offers the five-year integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) Programme, LL.M. (Regular), Joint Masters/LL.M. in IP Law and Management Programme, Post Graduate Insolvency Programme (PGIP), Ph.D., and several diploma programmes.
The University has made tremendous contributions to public discourse on law through pedagogy and research. Over the last decade, the University has established many specialized research centres.
The Academic Fellowship is a flagship programme created by the University to nurture early careers in academics, teaching, and research. Academic Fellows are expected to contribute to the intellectual growth of the University and will be mentored by senior faculty members at NLU Delhi.
In this background, applications are invited from academics and early career scholars in law initially for the under-mentioned positions. The number of positions may vary if suitable candidates are found for additional positions.

Responsibilities:
The Academic Fellow shall be expected to assist in research work in relevant areas in consultation with the University. They shall be primarily required to research and publish at least three papers (one Scopus-indexed and two international publications) in a year.
They shall also be expected to contribute to other academic and administrative pursuits of the University. The work involved will require excellent research and writing skills in the concerned field.
Emoluments: Rs. 50,000 per month
(subject to TDS deduction @10% under the Income Tax Act)
Nature of Appointment: Contractual and full-time for six months (further extendable).

- Specialization of LL.M./Master’s Degree
- Resume, including publications authored or co-authored, if any
- Writing Sample (co-authored pieces shall not be considered)

- Copy of Master’s degree, clearly indicating date and year of graduation
- Copy of Ph.D. Degree / Provisional Certificate (if any)
- Experience Certificate, if applicable
- Any other relevant supporting document
