      Call for Applications

      The National Law University Delhi invites expressions of interest for the contractual position of a full-time IPR Chair Professor under the DPIIT IPR Chair established by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. This position is part of the Scheme for Pedagogy and Research in IPRs for Holistic Education and Academia (SPRIHA).

      Overview

      Intellectual Property Rights Chair, NLU Delhi

      The IPR Chair Professor will promote teaching, research, and capacity-building in Intellectual Property (IP) at the University. The Chair Professor will develop and strengthen IP curricula, foster research, and contribute to building an IP knowledge base aligned with global best practices.

      The role includes collaboration with academic institutions, industry, and stakeholders, supporting policy research, conducting outreach activities, mentoring students, and publishing research outputs.

      This is a full-time contractual position at the National Law University Delhi, Dwarka campus.

      Position Details

      • No. of Positions: 01
      • Eligibility:
        • Professor/Associate Professor as per UGC norms with IPR experience, OR
        • IP Attorney with minimum 10 years practice, OR
        • Recognized IPR professional with 10+ years experience, OR
        • Retired IP Office official (Level 12+) with PhD
        • Age limit: Below 70 years
      • Remuneration: ₹1,50,000 per month (consolidated)

      Important Information

      • TDS @ 10% will be deducted as per Income Tax Act.
      • Initial appointment for one year (extendable).
      • No additional benefits/perks.

      Selection Process

      • Shortlisting based on application evaluation.
      • Shortlisting does not guarantee interview.
      • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
      • Final selection by committee constituted by Vice-Chancellor.

        • Purely contractual
        • No regularization
        • No regular faculty benefits
        • Subject to verification
        • Terminable based on performance
      9. Candidate must demonstrate high-level expertise and impact.
