AI in Legal Research Series 3.0. Masterclass on AI Tools for Doctrinal Analysis

National Law University Delhi organised a one-day Masterclass on AI Tools for Doctrinal Analysis on 27 January 2026. Prof. Dr G. S. Bajpai,  Vice Chancellor, NLU Delhi, led the programme. This was the third edition of the AI in Legal Research series.

The Masterclass focused on the jurisprudential and doctrinal analysis of landmark constitutional cases, deploying thematic coding and qualitative analysis. It examined how AI tools can support structured legal reasoning and doctrinal depth.

Over 70 participants attended, including industry professionals, academics, research scholars, and students. Sessions showed how AI can strengthen doctrinal research and improve research workflows.

The demonstrations went beyond basics. Participants worked with evolving AI features such as brainstorming, study and learn, and guided learning. The discussions highlighted practical uses of these tools for scholarship and classroom teaching.

NLU Delhi aims to continue these conversations at the intersection of AI and legal research. More initiatives will follow.
