The Post Graduate Insolvency Programme at National Law University Delhi had the privilege of hosting Shri Debajyoti Ray Chaudhuri, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, National E-Governance Services Limited (NeSL), for a guest session on 10 August 2026.
Shri Ray Chaudhuri delivered an insightful lecture on “Information Utility: A Pillar of the IBC,” explaining the objectives and key pillars of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code and the role of Information Utilities in addressing information asymmetry and strengthening the insolvency resolution process.
Drawing upon his extensive experience in banking, regulation and insolvency, he shared valuable perspectives on the functioning of NeSL, the authentication of financial information, Records of Default and the recent amendments relating to Information Utilities under the IBC.
We sincerely thank Shri Ray Chaudhuri for generously sharing his expertise with the PGIP students and contributing to their deeper understanding of the Information Utility framework and its critical role in strengthening the insolvency resolution process under the IBC.
