As part of the International Yoga Celebration, under the aegis of IQAC, NLU Delhi has been observing International Yoga Week through a series of workshops and activities aimed at promoting holistic health, well-being, and mindfulness among members of the university community.
The Well-Being Workshop: Small Habits, Big Changes was organized on 17 June 2026 to enhance awareness among staff members regarding the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and promoting overall mental wellness.
The workshop commenced with an interactive discussion on the concept of holistic wellness and its various dimensions, including physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being. Participants were encouraged to reflect on their current lifestyle habits and identify areas that may require attention and improvement. The session highlighted simple and sustainable habits related to physical activity, stress management, emotional regulation, healthy boundaries, and social connectedness that could be incorporated into daily routines to support overall well-being. A demonstration of Desk Yoga was also conducted to familiarize participants with simple stretches and movement-based exercises that can be performed during work hours to reduce physical strain, improve posture, and promote relaxation and focus.
The workshop was successfully conducted by the University Counsellors, Ms. Sheetal Choudhary and Ms. Akanksha Singh, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from the staff members.
