We are delighted to announce that the Centre for Law & Urban Development successfully conducted the Centre for Law & Urban Development- Society of Construction Law Certificate Course on Construction Contracts and Disputes on May 9-10, 2026 at National Law University Delhi, a comprehensive two-day programme exploring construction law, covering contract structures, risk allocation, FIDIC & NEC forms, claims management, delay analysis, and dispute resolution.
The course brought together law students and professionals from across institutions, who engaged with the full spectrum of construction law through lectures, discussions, and a uniquely structured final cumulative exercise. The exercise presented participants with a real-world problem statement alongside a set of contractual clauses, followed by thirty minutes of independent reading and analysis, an in-depth discussion and a written assignment submission.
The course concluded with a valedictory ceremony, where certificates were disbursed to the participants in the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Risham Garg, Mr. Ratan K. Singh, Mr. Akshay Gandotra, Ms. Abhisaar Bairagi, and Dr. Prem Chand. The ceremony was also marked by the unveiling of Affordable Housing: Building an Inclusive Society for the 21st Century India (3rd Edition), adding a fitting close to an enriching two days.
