National Law University Delhi, through its Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (CADR), successfully organized the Conclave on “Reimagining Infrastructure Contracts and Dispute Management in India” on 09 May 2026.
The conclave provided a significant platform for deliberation on the evolving legal and institutional landscape governing infrastructure projects in India, with discussions centered on contract management, dispute prevention, and effective resolution mechanisms in large-scale public and private infrastructure development.
The event commenced with the inaugural address by Prof. (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai, Vice Chancellor, NLU Delhi, and was honored by the presence of Dr. Rajiv Mani, Secretary, Legislative Department, Ministry of Law and Justice, who delivered the Chief Guest Address. Dr. Mani highlighted the critical role of sound legal frameworks, institutional coordination, and efficient dispute management systems in facilitating infrastructure growth and ensuring timely project execution in India.
The conclave witnessed meaningful engagement among an eminent gathering of legal professionals, policymakers, engineers, project managers, academicians, and industry experts. The discussions also reflected the increasing need for interdisciplinary collaboration between law, governance, engineering, and infrastructure management to address the complex challenges emerging in contemporary infrastructure projects.
