NLU Delhi team consisting of Kanishka Mittal (2nd Year), Unnati Padela (3rd Year) and Manisha Choudhary (2nd Year) were adjudged winners of the 1st NLIU-NHRC National Moot Court Competition, 2026 held at NLIU Bhopal on January 11, 2026 after a gripping final round between NALSAR University of Law (Petitioner) and NLU Delhi (Respondent) witnessing intense arguments, sharp legal reasoning and impressive courtroom skills. As many as 24 teams participated in this reputed competition.
Prof. (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai, Vice-Chancellor NLU Delhi, was invited to Judge the Final Rounds and also as a distinguished guest in the Valedictory Ceremony in this competition.
The Final Round was adjudicated by a distinguished bench comprising Justice Vivek Agarwal, Justice Vijay Kumar Shukla, and Justice Vishal Dhagat, Sitting Judges of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh; Mr. Joginder Singh, Registrar (Law), NHRC; Prof. (Dr.) G. S. Bajpai, Vice-Chancellor, National Law University Delhi; Dr. Satyajit Mohanty, Adjunct Professor of Law, National Law University Odisha, Former DGP, Odisha (Retd. IPS) and Chairman, Odisha Public Service Commission; and Ms. Nitya Ramakrishnan, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India.
The Valedictory Ceremony was graced by Justice Vivek Agarwal and Justice Vijay Kumar Shukla, Sitting Judges of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh; Mr. Joginder Singh, Registrar (Law), NHRC; Prof. (Dr.) S. Surya Prakash, Vice-Chancellor, NLIU Bhopal; Prof. (Dr.) G. S. Bajpai, Vice-Chancellor, NLU Delhi; Dr. Satyajit Mohanty; and Ms. Nitya Ramakrishnan.
