      Ms. Srishti Ray

      Academic Fellow

      Srishti Ray is an Academic Fellow at the Center for Criminology and Victimology, at National Law University, Delhi. She pursued LLM in Criminal Law, from NUJS, Kolkata. Prior to joining NLU, Delhi, she worked as a Lecturer and Researcher at the West Bengal State Police Academy, where she was involved in teaching and developing Criminal Law modules for Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent of Police. Her LLM dissertation was focused on Child Sexual Abuse, for which she conducted an empirical research, interviewing various NGO spokespersons, Public Prosecutors and Advocates in matter of disposal of cases of child sexual abuse in West Bengal. She has a keen interest in Criminology and Socio-legal research.

      • Authored an article for The Wire, on “Law School and Discrimination” published on 7th September, 2020.
      • Authored a Research Article selected for presentation at the N.R. Madhava Menon Legal Conclave organised by NUJS, on “Legal Pluralism in India”, February, 2020, for which she was awarded Best Paper Presenter Award.
