National Law University, Delhi in collaboration with Herbert Smith Freehills LLP organised the 8th edition of the HSF – NLU Delhi International Negotiation Competition on 1 – 3 September 2023.
In this edition, we had 28 participating teams including 8 international teams from Singapore, the United Kingdom, Sri Lanka, Japan, and Australia. We had 73 judges who witnessed the exciting negotiation rounds including Associates, Senior Associates, Principal Associates and Partners from leading law firms, Independent Counsels, and General Counsels of renowned companies.
The Final Round was judged by an esteemed panel including Chris Parsons, Chairman, India Practice, Herbert Smith Freehills, Rakesh Prusti, General Counsel, OYO Rooms, Shukla Wassan, Independent Director (GE), Corporate Advisor & ADR Professional, and Siddhartha Shukla, Partner, Herbert Smith Freehills.
Singapore Management University emerged as the winner of the 8th edition of the INC after they went head-to-head with the runner-up, University of Technology, Sydney in the Final Round. Linus Koh Kok Chuen from Singapore Management University won the Best Negotiator Award. National Law School of India University, Bangalore won the Best Negotiation Plan Award. Chuo University, Japan won the Spirit of the Competition Award.
