National Law University Delhi organized the 1st Annual Doctoral Law Colloquium 2023 on Law and Contemporary Issues in India on 16th and 17th March, 2023. The aim of the colloquium was to bring together doctoral candidates undertaking research within the broad theme of contemporary issues in law to provide a supportive and collaborative environment for exchange of ideas.
The colloquium featured presentations by candidates nearing the completion of their dissertations and those at an earlier stage of their doctoral journey.
The inaugural session was held on Thursday, 16th March 2023 followed by presentations during the day. On 17th March, the colloquium offered a panel discussion on research methodology to provide participants with a plurality of perspectives on current methodological debates. The panelists were Prof. (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai, Vice-Chancellor, National Law University, Delhi, Prof. (Dr.) V.G. Hegde, Professor, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Prof. (Dr.) Rukmini Sen, Professor, Dr B. R. Ambedkar University Delhi, and Prof. (Dr.) Oishik Sircar, Professor, Jindal Global Law School. The panel was moderated by Mr. Aniruddha Jairam, Visiting Faculty, National Law University Delhi.
Subsequently, the final set of presentations was conducted and the colloquium ended with a valedictory session.
