Centre for Regulatory Studies and Centre for Transnational Commercial Law, National Law University, Delhi in collaboration with the Insolvency Law Academy and the Confederation of Indian Industry organized the Roundtable Stakeholder Consultation: IBC Reforms at India International Centre on 27th January, 2023 to discuss the Ministry of Corporate Affairs Discussion Paper on proposed changes in Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code released by MCA on 18th January. 2023. Forty five plus participants representing stakeholders across the spectrum of the insolvency industry attended and participated in the roundtable discussion.
The welcome note was delivered by Mr. Sumant Batra, Founder, Insolvency Law Academy.
The First session was moderated by Mr. Rajesh Sharma, former NCLT Member(T). The participants presented their valuable insights on streamlining the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process in this session.
The Second Session was moderated by Dr. Risham Garg, Associate Professor NLUD and Ms. Vatsala Rai, Partner, AZB& Partners. The discussion was made on the suggestions made by the MCA on recasting of the liquidation process.
The Third session on Fast Track Insolvency Resolution and Group Insolvency was moderated by Mr. Sumant Batra.
The discussion ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Risham Garg. Ms. Harshita Garg, CRS did rapporteuring of the event.
