Panel discussion on ‘Comparative and Contemporary Perspectives on Insolvency and Bankruptcy’ (March 10, 2023)

A panel discussion on ‘Comparative and Contemporary Perspectives on Insolvency and Bankruptcy’ was co-organized by the Centre for Transnational Commercial Law and the Centre for Regulatory Studies at National Law University, Delhi on Friday, 10th March 2023. Dr. Risham Garg, Associate Professor of Law, NLUD delivered the welcome address on ‘Comparative Perspectives on Insolvency and Bankruptcy’, followed by a lecture on ‘Approaches to Insolvencies of Wide Public Impact’ delivered by Prof. Rebecca Parry, Nottingham Trent University, UK.  Topics for the panel discussion included Efficiency in Filing and disposing of Insolvency Applications, Assessing and improving the recoveries under Resolution & Liquidation, Pre-Insolvency and Restructuring Procedures to complement IBC process and Regulating the Insolvency Profession. The expert panellists who presented their views were Mr. Ritesh Kavdia, Executive Director, IBBI; Professor Rebecca Parry, Nottingham Trent University, UK; Mr. Ashish Makhija, Managing Attorney, AMC Law Firm; Mr. Anoop Rawat, Partner SAM; Mr. Lokesh Gupta, Partner EY; Mr. Navneet Gupta, Insolvency Professional and Mr. Madhusudan Sharma, Insolvency Professional

Dr. Risham Garg moderated the panel discussion. Concluding Remarks were given by Prof. M. S. Sahoo, Distinguished Professor, NLUD.
