NLUD hosts ‘Model Youth Parliament’ in Commemoration of 134th Birth Anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar (9th April, 2025)

In  Commemoration of the 134th Birth Anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the National Law University Delhi proudly hosted a Model Youth Parliament in collaboration with Ideal Institute of Management and Technology, under the aegis of the Department of Law, Justice and Legislative Affairs, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, and the guidance of the Institute of Constitutional and Parliamentary Studies on the 9th April 2025 from 11 A.M.

With 100+ participants from across institutions, the event witnessed powerful debates and thought-provoking discussions on the theme: “The Role of Education in Social Mobility.”

  • Outstanding Delegate: Prashant Choubey (Manoj Tiwari)
  • Best Speaker (Joint): Aryanshu Singh Sengar (Virendra Kumar) and Kartik (Kaushalendra Kumar)
  • Honourable Mention: Shubham Dubey (Rahul Gandhi)
  • Verbal Mention: Bhavya Vaid (Imran Masood)

We were honoured to have Prof. Dr. Ruhi Paul who delivered the concluding remarks and presented certificates to the participants alongside our esteemed judges. Her commitment to fostering student engagement and constant support played a crucial role in ensuring the event’s success.

A special thanks to Prof. Dr. Maheshwar Singh, under whose guidance the entire event was successfully conceptualised and organised. 

A special thanks to our collaborators at Ideal Institute of Management and Technology, Delhi. for their valuable support and enthusiastic participation in making this event a resounding success.

Together, we celebrated Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy by amplifying youth voices and fostering dialogue on law, policy, and social justice. Commitment to nurturing dialogue on constitutional values and youth participation was the cornerstone of this initiative.
