We are pleased to share that Mr. V. K. Rajah has agreed to be the Chair of ‘Chair on International Commercial Arbitration and Investment treaty Arbitration’, instituted at NLUD by Justice Indu Malhotra, former Judge, Supreme Court of India.
Mr. V.K. Rajah is currently a Vice President of the ICC International Court of Arbitration. He has chaired or served as arbitrator in numerous high profile, complex international commercial arbitrations and investor state disputes. From 2004 to 2014, he was a Judge and later a Judge of Appeal of the Singapore Supreme Court. In 2014, he became Attorney General. When he retired from public service in 2017, the Prime Minister of Singapore in a valedictory letter noted, “In every appointment, you have carried out your duties with dynamism and commitment. You have improved our legal system and made a difference to future generations of lawyers”.
His association with the NLUD will help us in creating cutting-edge capacity in the domain of International Commercial Arbitration and Investment Treaty Arbitration.
