Saumya Vatsa

Mental Health Counsellor

Saumya Vatsa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (Honours) from the University of Delhi and a Master’s degree in Cognitive Psychology/Neuropsychology from the University of Kent. She also holds a Diploma in Narrative Therapy and Community Work from the Dulwich Center in Australia and is currently undergoing training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), Level 1.

With five years of experience as a practicing psychologist, Saumya integrates a Narrative and trauma-informed approach, deeply valuing the individuality of each client. Her therapeutic practice has evolved to include a range of modalities such as Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Emotional Regulation, and Transference-Focused Therapy. Saumya is committed to customizing her therapeutic approach to align with the unique needs and contexts of her clients.

In addition to her clinical work, Saumya has served as a Research Officer with TISS iCALL, UNFPA, and UNICEF, as well as a Program Manager for Swechha NGO. She has extensive experience in facilitating group therapy sessions with adolescents, children, teachers, and adults on topics including emotional regulation, work-life balance, trauma sensitisation, and gender sensitisation.
