The Chair operates under the esteemed guidance of Patron-in-Chief Justice Indu Malhotra, a former Justice of the Supreme Court of India whose groundbreaking contributions to arbitration law have shaped the field. Her authoritative commentary on arbitration law is a leading resource for courts and practitioners alike. By instituting this Chair, Justice Malhotra has laid the foundation for specialized capacity building in arbitration law, aiming to elevate India’s standing in the international arbitration community.

At the helm is Chairperson Mr. V.K. Rajah, Vice President of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, and former Judge of Appeal of the Singapore Supreme Court. His unparalleled expertise in high-profile commercial and investor-state disputes positions the Chair as a beacon of excellence in arbitration education and practice. His illustrious career as a former Judge of Appeal of the Singapore Supreme Court and Attorney General reflects a lifelong commitment to advancing the legal profession.

Flagship Certificate Course

We are proud to launch Certificate Course on International Commercial and Investment Treaty Arbitration, the first of its kind in India. It is an immersive four-month program. This course is meticulously designed in two parts:

1. International Commercial Arbitration: Master the principles and practices of resolving global commercial disputes.
2. Investment Treaty Arbitration: Gain in-depth knowledge of handling disputes arising under bilateral investment treaties (BITs).
