In a proud moment, the Hon’ble Law Minister of the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, Shri Kapil Mishra, and the Vice-Chancellor of National Law University Delhi, Prof. (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai felicitated the winners of two prestigious events, along with the organising students and adjudicators of Debate and Model Youth Parliament event of NLU Delhi. This marked the grand culmination of the week-long celebration of the 134th Birth Anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar), under the aegis of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Legislative Affairs, Govt. of NCT Delhi. The ceremony highlighted the impactful initiatives led by National Law University Delhi, in collaboration with the Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA).
The Events were as follows:
1. B.R. Ambedkar National Debate Competition (held on 8 April 2025).
2. Model Youth Parliament (held on 9 April 2025).
The prize distribution ceremony took place at the Delhi Secretariat, where Principal Secretary of the Department of Law, Justice and Legislative Affairs, Sh. Reetesh Singh hosted the session with his characteristic warmth and insight. The event was supported by the Member (Secretary), DSLSA Sh. Rajeev Bansal while the Registrar of NLUD, Prof. (Dr). Ruhi Paul gave an overview of the initiatives and Member (Secretary) DSLSA delivered a gracious vote of thanks.
These events stand as a tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s legacy — fostering dialogue, democratic values, and youth participation in policy and law.
