16th Asian Law Institute (ASLI) Conference 2019, was held in Singapore from the 11th-12th June, 2019, at the Bukit Timah Campus, National University of Singapore, Faculty of Law, who were the hosts of the event. Five Professors were invited from National Law University Delhi, including the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ranbir Singh; Registrar, Prof. Dr. G. S. Bajpai; Prof. Jeet Singh Mann; Prof. Ritu Gupta; and Dr. Amita Punj. They made special presentations at this International Annual Meet, on various facets of “The Rule of Law and the Role of Law in Asia”. Over 330 delegates attended the Conference becoming the largest ASLI Conference ever held.
Prof. Dr. Ranbir Singh, Vice-Chancellor, represented NLUD, in the the Board of Directors’ (BOG) meeting along with the Registrar, on June 10, 2019, before the commencement of the conference. They discussed the agenda of the ASLI Conference 2020 to be organised by NLU Delhi.
NLUD has MoU with ASLI, under which NLU Delhi will be organising the next 17th Asian Law Institute (ASLI) Conference 2020 at National Law University Delhi. In the same light, at the Valedictory session a Presentation was given by Prof. Dr. Ranbir Singh, Vice-Chancellor, NLUD, on the upcoming 17th ASLI Conference in 2020.
