District Green Champion Award Ceremony (August 19, 2021)

REPORT- DISTRICT GREEN CHAMPION AWARD CEREMONY

The Ministry of Education Government of India felicitated NLU Delhi online as District Green Champion as part of Swachhta Action Plan on 19th August 2021.

Sub-Divisional Magistrate of South West Delhi, Shri Piyush Mohanty was the Chief Guest of this workshop and award function. He congratulated NLU Delhi on being chosen as District Green Champion and appreciated the contribution of NLU Delhi in the Swachhta Action Plan initiated by the Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education which will encourage other institutions to continue the sustainable efforts in the direction of maintaining ‘Swachh Campuses’. Dr. Sushila, Associate Professor (Law) & Nodal Officer for Swachh Action Plan, NLUD made a presentation on the various initiatives taken by the University under the aspects of sanitation, greenery, energy, water, waste conservation and management etc. for making the NLU campus as a ‘Model Swachhh Campus’. 

Members of NLU Swachh Action Plan Team including Prof Anju Tyagi, Dr. Ritu Sharma, Dr. Mukul Raizada, Dr. Prem Chand, Dr. Samar Iqbal Bakhshi, Dr. Siddharth Dahiya, Sh. Ravi Kanojia amongst others attended the ceremony.
