First International Conference on Digital Transformation: Preservation, Policy and Privacy (29th November – 1st December, 2018)

First International Conference on Digital Transformation: Preservation, Policy and Privacy organized by National Law University Delhi from 29^th November – 1^st December, 2018. Dr. Priya Rai, Deputy Librarian was the Organizing Secretary and Dr. Akash Singh, Assistant Librarian was the Co-organizing Secretary of the Conference. More than 360 participants participated in the Conference and total 98 papers were presented from different parts of country and abroad.

National Law Institute University, Bhopal; Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab; The Energy and Research Institute, New Delhi; American Information Resource Centre, New Delhi; International Association of Law Libraries (IALL); Indian Law Institute, New Delhi; IFLA- Asia Oceania; Indian Library Association; Association of Indian Law Libraries; CSIR-NISCAIR were the major partner of the conference.  Conference topic includes:  Digital Transformation of Information and its impact on Society; Preservation Issues of Scholarly Literature in Digital Era; Policies, Rules and Regulations framed for handling digital born and digital converted scholarly information; Privacy Issues arisen using digital information platform; Copyrights and licensing issues of digital contents; Knowledge management and Role of MOOCs in Education; Trans border flow of information in digital aeon.

The conference was inaugurated on November 29, 2018. There was five plenary talk and six parallel technical sessions on different topics were conducted during three days. It continued with the presentations from academicians, law librarian, research scholars and experts of the field. The presenters deliberated on various related issues. Conference Newsletter was also released during the valedictory on 1^st December, 2018.
