JUSTICE J. S. VERMA ADVOCACY TRAINING AND

MOCK TRIAL:

The Justice J. S. Verma Advocacy Training and Mock Trial was a unique

international collaboration between the Centre and the Bar Human Rights
Committee of England and Wales. The programme sought to address the lack of
advocacy training in legal education in India and in particular, to train students to
deal with vulnerable witnesses. The training programme was held between 21st

and 26th November, 2019 and concluded with a mock trial to test the students on
the knowledge gained during the training period.
