A day of useful dialogue and sharing of perspectives!

The National Conference on Protection of Elderly People in India: Socio-Legal Issues, Challenges and our Priorities, organised by the Centre for Comparative Studies in Personal Laws, brought forth the challenges and the existing policy gaps pertaining to the rights of senior citizens in India.

The discussion touched upon ways in which policy can be amended to respond to the needs of the elderly and explored the roles that children and communities can play in mitigating their hardships.
