Lecture by Ms. Kate Mogulescu, US Expert on Human Trafficking |

Ms. Kate Mogulescu, Supervising Attorney, Criminal Defense Practice of the Legal Aid Society (New York City) made a presentation to students of NLU Delhi on issues relating to human trafficking. Her focus in the presentation was the framework with respect to youth victims of trafficking. She discussed both trafficking for labour, as well as sex trafficking. She analysed the legal framework to deal with trafficking, both international and national. She spoke about the US Federal law, and relevant state laws, as well as whether the criminal law framework is appropriate to deal with victims of trafficking. |
