Dr. Preeti Lakhera is an Assistant Professor of Law at NLU Delhi. Her research area is International Tax law and policy, where she primarily studies the evolving legal framework for the source taxation of the digital economy. She holds a Ph.D. in International Taxation from National Law University Delhi, where she studied the concept of Permanent Establishment and its efficacy in taxing Digital Business Models. She also explores and implements innovative pedagogical approaches for effectively teaching tax laws and policy. At the University, she teaches core courses on Direct Taxes, Banking Law, and International Trade Law. She has also developed and taught Seminar courses on International Taxation and Corporate Taxation. Before coming to NLUD, she was working at the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi as an Assistant Professor, from where she also earned her graduate and postgraduate degrees.
