Giving wings to the renewed focus of the quality grant of IPRs in India, National Law University, Delhi in association with RGNIIPM Nagpur (a unit of Office Of The Controller General Of Patents, Designs And Trade Marks (CGPDTM), IP Office India) has launched a one-year advanced executive diploma programme - LL.M. Pro in IP Administration and Legislations for 30 select officials of the Indian IP office. The Deeksharambh - Orientation was conducted online on 26th April, 2024 on the momentous occasion of the World IP Day and was graced by Prof (Dr) G S BAJPAI - Vice Chancellor, NLU Delhi and Prof. (Dr.) Unnat P. Pandit - Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks, Indian IP Office who delivered special addresses. This course is spearheaded by CIIPC-IPR at NLU Delhi. Glimpses of the Roundtable on ‘IP and Sustainability: Global Partnerships and the Evolving IP Landscape in India’ organised on 25th April, 2024 to commensurate World IP Day, 2024 at NLU Delhi. The event was jointly organised by CIIPC-IPR Chair at National Law University Delhi, Intellectual Property Office - UK, and Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks.

In attendance was Prof. (Dr.) Ruhi Paul (Registrar, NLU Delhi), Prof. Unnat P. Pandit (Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks), Mr. Huw Watkins (Head, Central and South Asia Policy, UK IPO), Dr. Yogesh Pai (Associate Professor (Law), Co-Director, CIIPC and IPR Chair, NLU Delhi) and Ms. Pragya Chaturvedi (IP Attaché, UK IPO).

The roundtable panel discussion was moderated by Dr. Pai and featured discussants from industry, academia, and diplomats.
