National Law University, Delhi hosted the 2nd edition of the National Rounds of the ICC Moot Court Competition from 17th - 19th March, 2017. The national rounds, which serve as a stepping stone to the international rounds at the Hague, Netherlands, saw participation from 18 teams and nearly 100 participants.
The participants had the opportunity to plead in front of some of the most well established names in the field of international criminal law. After 3 gruelling preliminary rounds and a semi final round, the teams from GNLU, NLSIU and NLU Delhi reached the finals of the event and also qualified for the international rounds.
The final rounds were judged by Hon'ble Justice Gita Mittal, Ms. Anjolie Singh and Mr. Srinivas Burra. All 3 judges were effusive in their praise for the quality of arguments put forth by the speakers in the finals.
The competition was won by National Law University, Delhi. The team also won the Best Memorial Award and Mr. Aditya Garg (NLU Delhi) won the best speaker for the preliminary rounds.
