Conference on Pre-Trial Processes

The Centre for Criminology and Victimology, and the Centre for Constitutional Law, Policy and Governance, at NLU Delhi are jointly organizing a conference on “Pre-Trial Processes,” along with Pepperdine University School of Law. The conference to be held on March 14 and 15, 2017 will have academics from India and the Pepperdine University School of Law, Judges, and Public Defenders from the United States, and lawyers from Counsel to Secure Justice deliberating on various pre-trial related issues. Topics include plea bargaining, disclosure of evidence, access to counsel, legal aid, bail, and treatment of juveniles by the criminal justice system. This event is being held under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assessment Cell.
