  • Mr. Garnett Genius Hon’ble Member of Parliament of Canada visited the NLU Delhi Campus on Jan. 13, 2016. In a informal meeting with Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Members of Faculty and Non-Teaching staff, he appraised about the current situation in Canada especially pertaining to University Education.
  • The National Law University, Delhi has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Department of Law & Criminology, Sheffield Hallam University, U.K. Dr. Craig Paterson, Principal Lecturer in Criminology & Head of International Business Development and Dr. Bruce Houlder, Member of Law & Criminology Advisory Panel, Sheffield Hallam University were present on this occasion.   • Ms. Kate Mogulescu, Supervising Attorney, Criminal Defense Practice of the Legal Aid Society (New York City) made a presentation to students of NLU Delhi on issues relating to human trafficking. (10.02.2016)
  • Mr. Kazuya Kuwada, Chief Legal Officer of Mitsui Asia Pacific Business Unit and the General Manager of Legal Division of Mitsui Asia Pacific P. Ltd. alongwith Mr. Kosuke Iwata, Deputy General Manager of Legal Division of Mitsui Asia Pacific P. Ltd. and Senior Investment Executive of Investment Support Department, Mitsui & Co. Asia Pacific Unit interacted with the students on a number of issues of key importance such compliance, crisis management and land acquisition. (18.02.2016)
  • National Law University, Delhi hosted the International Finance & Corporate Course (IFCC) in collaboration with Allen & Overy LLP, (a Magic Circle law firm headquartered in London) from 7th–9th March 2016. The IFCC focuses primarily on giving undergraduate students an understanding of the basic principles of finance and corporate law, until now has only been available outside India. (09.03.2016)
  • National Law University, Delhi organized the Joint Indo-German Conference on ‘Open Markets, Free trade and Sustainable Development – Friends or Foes?’ in association with the Ruhr-University Bochum, the University of Hamburg and the Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany, from 13-15 March 2016. Professor Wolfram Cremer from the Ruhr-University Bochum, Professor Philipp Dann from the Humboldt University, Berlin, Professor Helmut Goerlich from the University of Leipzig, Professor Markus Kotzur from the University of Berlin and Professor M.P. Singh, from National Law University, Delhi.
  • The Centre for Criminology and Victimology and K. L. Arora Chair on Criminal Law, National Law University, Delhi organized a short course by Professor Alan Norrie, School of Law, University of Warwick on the topic - Criminal Law: Contradictions & Critique - a one credit course under the Global Initiative of Academic Network (GIAN). Professor Alan Norrie is a distinguished authority in the area of philosophy and critical criminal law. He is also the President of International Association for Critical Realism (IACR). Prof. Alan Norrie delivered lectures between 14-18, March 2016
  • National Law University, Delhi, organized a MHRD GIAN course on “Comparative Contract Law and Practice” under the GIAN scheme of the MHRD, from 12th May 2016 – 22nd May 2016.The course was instructed by Prof. Stefan Vogenauer, Managing Director of the Max Planck Institute for European Legal History, Frankfurt. Prof. Vogenauer is a renowned scholar of Comparative Contract Law, and his writings on the UNIDROIT principles, harmonization of global contract law, CISG and related areas are bested only by his outstanding academic career and achievements.
  • National Law University, Delhi (NLUD) organized three day Conference on ‘Paralegal Education in India’ from July 22-24, 2016 under the Fulbright Specialist Programme. Prof. J. Danixia Cuevas who is a Paralegal expert and a Professor at Miami Dade College, Miami, Florida, USA visited NLUD as Fulbright Specialist for assisting in this respect.
  • National Law University, Delhi organized 17th Bodh Raj Sawhny memorial oration by Ambassador of United States of America to India, Mr. Richard R. Verma on "Advancing Shared Values,” on 13th September 2016 at the Justice Y.K. Sabharwal Moot Court Hall, National Law University, Delhi.
  • The Centre for Transnational Commercial Law, National Law University, Delhi, organized MHRD GIAN course on "Cross-Border Business Law and Practice" under the GIAN scheme of the MHRD, Professor Bruno Zeller is a Professor of Transnational Commercial Law at the University of Western Australia. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Murdoch University, Perth, a Fellow of the Australian Institute for Commercial Arbitration, Panel of Arbitrators – MLAANZ, Visiting Professor Institute for Anwaltsrecht, Humboldt University, Berlin and a Visiting Professor Stetson Law School, Florida. He holds a Ph.D. from The University of Melbourne. 23.10.2016
