Mr.Syed lqbal Ahmed

Research Associate



Syed Iqbal Ahmad obtained his LL.B. from Campus Law Centre (University of Delhi) and his LL.M. from M.D.University (Rohtak).  He  presented  papers at the  Student Conferences at Belgrade Univ. (Yugoslavia)  and at  Makireire Univ. Kampala (Uganda).

During 1999-2000, he was a  visiting Inns of Court Fellow of the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, University of London , London, (United Kingdom)where he had worked on the enforcement and jurisdictional aspect of the then proposed International Criminal Court{ICC}.

Since 2000, he has been  associated  as a Researcher with South Asian Human Rights Documentation Centre {SAHRDC} New Delhi . SAHRDC is the Secretariat of Asia Pacific Human rights network and seeks to investigate and disseminate information about Human rights issues in the Asia-pacific region. It has a Special Consultative status with UNITED NATIONS ECONOMIC and SOCIAL COUNCIL (ECOSOC)   

During 2002-03, he also worked as a Legal Coordinator with National Commission for Women{NCW} Government of India.

He has been teaching at the NLU since 2008, and has taught Criminal law, Administrative law, Contract law   and law of partnership. During 2011-12, he had worked as a  Asst.Prof. (Law) at Kardan University, Kabul (Afghanistan)

He is currently enrolled as Ph. D. candidate at the National law University, Delhi.
