Dr. Bharti Yadav

Assistant Professor



Dr Bharti Yadav has been a faculty at National Law University Delhi since 2012. She did her B.A. LL.B. from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak and LL.M. in criminal law from Rajasthan University, Rajasthan. She did her Ph.D. on “Equal Access to Criminal Justice” from University of Rajasthan. She has also qualified NET.

 

 

Her areas of interest and specialisation are Criminal Law, Research Methodology, Legal Aid and Clinical Legal Education. She has been associated with Clinical Legal Education at National Law University Delhi since 2012. Currently she is teaching “Advance Criminal Procedure” course to LL.M. students and “Research Methodology” course to PH.D students. She has also set up a “Prisoners Right Clinic” at university for providing legal aid to prisoners. She has been involved in administrative reforms initiatives at prisons by conducting various empirical researches.

 

 

She has organised many workshops and conferences on criminal law and clinical legal education at National Law University Delhi. She has presented papers on various aspects of criminal law and access to justice in national and international conferences. Her research papers are published in many journals and books. She has been a resource faculty at Haryana Institute of Public Administration in various training programs for HCS officers and law officers of Haryana. She has also supervised a number of LL.M. students for their dissertations. She has contributed in Distance Learning Programme of UGC by writing modules on various aspects of access to justice. She has also been a resource person for Gyan Darshan TV channel for spreading legal awareness.
