Dr. Vishal Mahalwar completed his B.A.LL.B. from Faculty of Law, M.D.University Rohtak(Haryana) He has been awarded Master of Laws by NALSAR, University of Law, Hyderabad. He joined National Law University, Delhi in the first session of the year 2010. His areas of interest include Intellectual Property Laws, Cyber law, Law of Torts and Legal aid. Currently, he teaches Intellectual Property Laws and Cyber Law. He has more than a dozen Articles to his credit published in Law Journals of National and International repute. These publications are in the areas of Traditional Knowledge, Geographical Indications, Medical methods, Medical treatment & Ambush Marketing viz- a- viz IPR. The University of Rajasthan awarded him Doctoral Degree in Law. And his area of research for the same was “Socio-Legal Study of Law Relating to Protection of Traditional Knowledge under the Intellectual Property Regime”. He has participated in several National/International Conferences and workshops besides contributing to legal aid programs of the Legal Services Authority. He has delivered lectures as a resource person in legal aid programs. He has vast experience of organizing international conferences and workshops. He is also an active member of Institute of Constitutional and Parliamentary Studies and The Indian Society of International Law. Apart from academic activities, he has held administrative position at the university.
