Workshop on Empirical Legal Research under the auspices of National Academy 16-22, Nov, 2015

 

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of National law University, Delhi (India) organised the third International Workshop on Empirical Legal Research under the auspices of National Academy for Law Teachers (NALT) & ‘Professor Theodore Eisenberg Centre for Empirical Legal Research’ from November 16-22, 2015.

 

The workshop consisted of 55 participants and 8 resource persons. Total 28 sessions were done that covered different aspects of Empirical Legal Research. 

 

The present workshop proved to be  highly useful for not only to the fresh researchers and teachers in the university/colleges but also for those senior faculty members who did not have this type of exposure in their times of growing. The core objective of the workshop was to help the participants develop their skills in the areas of construction and applications of empirical legal research design and data analysis through use of software and computer applications. The workshop covered ELR steps like formulation of research problems, research design, sampling, hypothesis building, analysis frame etc. The resource persons were invited from various fields of specializations having vast experience and knowledge in their respective areas of research to cater the demand of the workshop. The workshop has achieved the object to great extent.
